How does Titan support our Armed Forces?
How Titan Private Investigation Champions Support for the Armed Forces
In the latest episode of Titan PI TV, I had the privilege of delving into a subject close to our hearts at Titan Private Investigation: our unwavering support for the United Kingdom’s armed forces community. As the host and managing director, I am proud to share how Titan not only recognises the immense contribution of our service personnel but also actively supports and develops opportunities for both serving members and veterans.
A National Agency with Local Roots
Titan Private Investigation is headquartered in Derby, but our reach extends far beyond the East Midlands. With ten offices strategically located across England—from Truro in the southwest to Manchester in the northwest—we provide comprehensive national coverage. This network enables us to deliver our services efficiently and effectively, ensuring that no matter where our clients or trainees are based, they have access to the expertise and professionalism that define the Titan brand.
The Armed Forces Covenant: A Commitment to Service
One of the cornerstones of our support for the military community is our proud membership of the Armed Forces Covenant. Since 10th May 2024, Titan has been a signatory to this important pledge, which formalises our commitment to upholding the values and principles of the Covenant. This is not merely a symbolic gesture; it is a practical, ongoing promise to ensure that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, along with their families, are treated with fairness and respect in their communities, workplaces, and society at large.
At Titan, we recognise the unique skills, discipline, and dedication that service personnel—both regular and reservist—bring to our organisation, our country, and the communities we serve. Veterans and military families are an integral part of the fabric of our society, and we are determined to honour their sacrifices by providing tangible support.
Exclusive Discounts for Service Personnel and Veterans
In practical terms, our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant translates into a 10% discount on all Titan services for veterans and serving military personnel. This is not limited to a select few offerings; it applies across the board, from our core investigative services to our industry-leading training programmes.
For example, our renowned five-day surveillance course, delivered from our Derby hub in partnership with the Institute of Professional Investigators (IPI), is priced at £1,200 plus VAT (£1,440 in total). Thanks to our Armed Forces Covenant commitment, veterans and serving personnel can save £144 on this course—a meaningful gesture that reflects our appreciation for their service.
Supporting Career Transitions: The ELCAS Advantage
Transitioning from military to civilian life can be a daunting prospect, particularly when it comes to embarking on a new career. At Titan, we are acutely aware of the challenges faced by those leaving the armed forces, and we are dedicated to smoothing this transition through our training and development programmes.
A key element of this support is our participation in the Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service (ELCAS). ELCAS is a government-backed initiative that provides financial support for training and education to eligible service leavers. Under this scheme, the Ministry of Defence funds 80% of the cost of approved training courses, with the individual responsible for the remaining 20%.
Titan’s five-day surveillance course is fully ELCAS-approved, meaning that eligible military leavers can access this substantial financial support. But we go a step further: in line with our Armed Forces Covenant pledge, we offer an additional 10% discount on the 20% self-funded portion of the course fee. This means that not only do service leavers benefit from significant government support, but they also enjoy further savings courtesy of Titan.
Industry-Recognised Qualifications
Our training is not just comprehensive—it is also accredited and industry-recognised. Delivered in association with the IPI, Titan’s surveillance course leads to an RQF Level 4 qualification, a respected benchmark within the private investigation sector. The IPI is a registered examination centre, ensuring that our trainees receive the highest standard of instruction and assessment.
This qualification opens doors for veterans and service leavers, equipping them with the skills and credentials needed to embark on a successful career in private investigation or related fields. Many of our trainees come from a military background, and we are proud to play a role in helping them translate their experience and expertise into new opportunities on “Civvy Street”.
Titan: A Leader in Surveillance and Training
Titan is widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading providers of surveillance services and training. Our reputation is built on years of operational excellence, a commitment to ethical practice, and a passion for developing the next generation of investigators. Ask anyone in the industry about Titan, and you will find that our name is synonymous with quality, reliability, and professionalism.

The impact of our support for the armed forces community is best illustrated by the stories of those who have benefited from our programmes. Many veterans have successfully transitioned into new careers thanks to the training and support provided by Titan. Their discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence—honed during their military service—make them ideally suited to the world of private investigation.
