How does Titan investigate a cheating partner?

This is another common question that we get asked frequently at Titan Investigations.

There are two main ways to catch a cheating partner. As discussed in a previous newsfeed, we can’t hack someone’s mobile telephone. It is illegal and carries a lengthy prison sentence for the person instructing and the investigation agency. The below link covers mobile hacking and the law.

So, back to the two legitimate ways to catch a cheating partner.

The first is when you have absolutely no idea of when the cheating is happening, where and with whom. The second is when you have an idea of when it may happen.

So, in the first scenario, when you are pretty much clueless, however you have a strong suspicion, and they drive, we would recommend the deployment of a covert GPS vehicle tracking device. This device is generally deployed during the early hours of the morning, so we will require where it is parked and the make, model, colour and registration number. We will then send operatives out to perform a reconnaissance of the location to plan their approach and also practice on a donor vehicle, so we find the best place to deploy the device where it won’t be found and to make the deployment as expeditious as possible. Once the device is deployed, it will record the location data which can be monitored live time or historically.

The GPS vehicle tracker is a surveillance tool and only gains intelligence and not evidence. The data is not admissible in a tribunal or court arena. It is purely intelligence to identify a routine so that a surveillance team can then be deployed to gain irrefutable video evidence.

GPS tracking devices cost £420 for seven days of tracking. The cost for each subsequent week is £240. The first week is more expensive as this has the costs of the deployment and retrieval incorporated.

In the second scenario, when you have an idea when the opportunity will arise, we will recommend that two surveillance operatives are deployed to covertly record the movements, associations and locations visited of an individual.

Operatives deploy for a minimum of five continuous hours at a time. Another commonly asked question, “Why is the deployment time a minimum of 5 hours?”

Surveillance operatives cost £60 per hour each, so a minimum deployment of five hours will cost £600.

The operatives will gain irrefutable video evidence of the deployment as it develops. The client is kept updated live time with updates from what the surveillance operatives are seeing. Once the deployment reaches the five hour point, there is an option to extend the deployment hour by hour at the same rate of pay, £60 per hour per operative.

Within 24 hours of the deployment terminating the video footage is used to create a comprehensive report where still images are implemented into the report to back up what is described to be happening. The report is also fully admissible in a court of law or tribunal.
